The bay of Bima in Sumbawa is an excellent, yet often overlooked, muck diving destination. The dark sand slopes are home to a wide range of rare critters, and the area is particularly famous for its incredible night dives.
Features
A large bay offering numerous muck diving sites. The volcanic sand is a perfect habitat for rare macro life, including coleman shrimp on fire urchins, various octopus species, and a huge diversity of nudibranchs. Excellent for night diving.
