Cenote Calavera ('Skull Cenote') is named for the three holes in its roof that resemble a skull. The dive involves a giant stride into the main hole, and exploration of a large, beautifully decorated cavern with a pronounced halocline.
Features
The entrance is a circular hole in the ground. The cavern below is vast, with a large debris mound in the center. The play of light through the three entrance holes is spectacular. A fun and adventurous dive.
