La Nevera ('The Fridge') is a steep wall at Malpelo that is one of the premier spots for seeing huge schools of hammerhead sharks. The site is also known for its massive aggregations of silky sharks.
Features
A vertical wall that is one of the main aggregation sites for scalloped hammerheads at Malpelo. Divers drift along the wall, looking out into the blue for the massive schools. Silky sharks are also very common.
