Makassar Reef is a long, flat reef that is more rubble than coral, but it's one of the most reliable places in Komodo to find manta rays. It's an easy drift dive where divers are carried by the current over several cleaning stations, watching the mantas hover below.

Features

A long, relatively flat drift dive over a rubble bottom. The main reason to dive here is for the manta rays, as the reef contains multiple cleaning stations. Divers simply drift along and wait for the mantas to appear.
