Located in the south of Komodo, Manta Alley is a renowned site for manta ray congregations. In the right season, dozens of mantas can be seen feeding on plankton in the channel or hovering over cleaning stations on the reef.
Features
A narrow channel between two islands that concentrates plankton-rich water. This attracts large numbers of manta rays, which can be observed feeding on the surface or getting cleaned on the submerged rocky reefs. The water can be cold.
