The Papoose was an oil tanker torpedoed by a German U-boat in 1942. The wreck lies upside down, and the visible torpedo damage is a highlight. It is another fantastic site for encounters with sand tiger sharks.
Features
A 125m (412ft) oil tanker that lies completely inverted on the seabed. The massive torpedo hole is a prominent feature. The wreck is a major aggregation site for sand tiger sharks.
