The Somosomo Strait, between Taveuni and Vanua Levu, is known as the 'Soft Coral Capital of the World'. The currents here fuel an explosive growth of incredibly vibrant soft corals, with world-famous sites like Rainbow Reef and the Great White Wall.

A narrow channel with strong tidal currents. These currents provide the nutrients for the world's most vibrant soft corals. The 'Great White Wall' is a section of wall covered in white soft corals that bloom when the current is right.
