Hol Chan, meaning 'Little Channel' in Mayan, is a cut in the barrier reef that is a strictly protected marine reserve. The concentration of marine life is staggering, with huge numbers of nurse sharks, stingrays, and large fish.

Features

A deep channel cutting through the reef. As a no-take zone, the fish life is abundant and unafraid. The main attraction is 'Shark Ray Alley', where snorkelers and divers can get very close to dozens of nurse sharks and southern stingrays.
