The Ribbon Reefs are a long chain of individual reefs on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. They are known for their pristine condition, excellent visibility, and famous sites like the Cod Hole. They are also a hotspot for seasonal encounters with dwarf minke whales.
Features
A series of 10 long, narrow reefs. These outer reefs are known for their pristine health and are a primary location for liveaboard trips. This is the best place in the world for in-water encounters with dwarf minke whales (June-July).
