Dive Sites

Located in the south of Rinca Island, Yellow Wall is a stunningly beautiful wall dive. It's named for the dense blanket of yellow soft corals and sea cucumbers that cover the entire wall, creating a vibrant and colorful spectacle, especially in the cold, clear water.

Yilliet is a group of small limestone islands in Misool that offer spectacular diving. The underwater topography is a maze of pinnacles, ridges, and tunnels, all completely covered in the vibrant soft corals that make this region famous.

Off the coast of Japan's southernmost island lies the Yonaguni Monument, a massive, terraced rock formation that some believe to be a man-made, ancient sunken city. It's a mysterious and fascinating dive, and the area is also known for schooling hammerheads in winter.

The Yubae Maru is a medium-sized freighter that sits perfectly upright and is largely intact. It's a beautiful and relatively easy wreck dive, with a photogenic bow gun and open cargo holds to explore.

Yucab is a long, low-profile reef that offers a fast and fun drift dive. The current can be quite swift, carrying divers over a healthy reef that is a fantastic place to see turtles, moray eels, and large crabs.

Zabargad is a large, beautiful island near Rocky Island. It offers more varied diving, with pristine sloping reefs, several interesting wrecks, and beautiful turquoise bays that are perfect for night dives.

Zakynthos is a major nesting ground for the endangered loggerhead turtle, and seeing these beautiful animals underwater is the main highlight. The coastline is also riddled with beautiful sea caves and arches to explore.

The Zenobia is a massive roll-on-roll-off ferry that sank on her maiden voyage in 1980. She now lies on her side just outside Larnaca harbor. The sheer size of the wreck and her intact cargo of over 100 trucks make this one of the top wreck dives in the world.
