Dive Sites

Gunung Api is a volcanic island in the middle of the Banda Sea, famous for its incredible population of sea snakes. It's not uncommon to see dozens of these curious (but harmless) banded sea kraits on a single dive, swimming over a healthy hard coral reef.

Hairball is a quintessential muck diving site off Mabul Island. This seemingly barren, silty slope is a treasure trove for macro photographers. It's named for the hairy frogfish often found here, alongside a host of other strange and wonderful critters.

Half Moon Caye Wall is a spectacular drop-off in the Lighthouse Reef atoll. The wall is covered in huge sponges and pristine corals, and it's a fantastic place to see eagle rays and reef sharks cruising by. The reef top has interesting sand channels and tunnels.

Named after the legendary Babylonian wonder, the Hanging Gardens of Sipadan is a stunning wall dive. The wall is terraced and completely covered in a dense blanket of colorful soft corals, gorgonian sea fans, and barrel sponges, creating a breathtaking underwater vista.

Hideaway Island is home to the world's only underwater post office. It's a fun and easy shore dive in a protected marine sanctuary, perfect for beginners and snorkelers who can mail a waterproof postcard.

The HIJMS Nagato was the flagship of the Japanese Combined Fleet and is one of the most famous wrecks at Bikini Atoll. This massive battleship was sunk by the 'Baker' atomic bomb and now rests upside down, a spectacular and historic technical dive.
